Campfires

Now we're cooking with fire!

Campfires are new objects that have been placed all over Lumia Island (especially around the romantic spots!).

When you are close to a Campfire, you can cook food ingredients by roasting them over the fire. All common (white) ingredients found on Lumia Island make great dishes when roasted over a campfire.

Don't have a campfire nearby? You can build your team's own campfire with the Portable Campfire Kit, that can be obtained from Wild Animals!

Tactical Skills

What are Tactical Skills?

Tactical Skills are a replacement for Accessories and can be upgraded by using Credits, as opposed to the traditional farming system of collecting materials to craft them or gaining Mastery to upgrade them.

Use a variety of characters!

To overcome the limitations of character skill structure, we have enabled a greater variety of characters to be used in Squad.

How to Get Tactical Skills

Credits

You can upgrade them to level 2 by using Credits.

Tactical Skill Module

You can upgrade them to level 3 using the Tactical Skill Module.
Level 3 has special effects. Make sure to prioritize leveling up!
Tactical Skill Modules can be obtained from Kiosks, Battle Zones, and Air Supplies.

24-Player Gameplay

The battle to become the last survivor in a larger-scale experiment.
- From 18 to 24 players, from 6 to 8 teams, the fight for survival just got tougher on Lumia Island!
- Get past the steep wall of despair and become the last survivor of the experiment!

Three Operator Guides

First, a guide to help you build your equipment.

- Searching Areas & Moving through Areas
Searching Current Area - Operator Nadja guides you in searching for the required materials when you are in an area from your Saved Plan.
Moving through Areas - Operator Nadja shows you where to go when you've collected all your required materials in the areas from your Saved Plan.

- Calling a Remote Drone
If there are only a few materials left to complete your Saved Plan, the Operator will recommend calling a Remote Drone.

Shows you what Boss Monsters look like and what items you can get from them.

Third, a guide to what you can craft when you get Special Materials.

Briefing Room

What is the Briefing Room?

Briefing Room is where players who have finished loading stay while waiting for others who are still loading.

In the Briefing Room, you can try out your skills on other test subjects, or a dummy, and get ready for the battle.

And don't worry, you won't die!

You can practice your skill combos freely in the Briefing Room, without the fear of being killed.

When everyone is ready to move to Lumia Island, active skills and masteries are reset without affecting the match!

Forging

Let's open the Data Box!

Open the Data Box to claim your reward!

The item or item design that you get is given to you based on an estimated probability.

Use your designs to craft the items you need!

Once you have acquired a design for a particular item, you can use the materials to craft that item.

Disassemble unnecessary items and designs to obtain materials and tokens!

Disassemble Designs and Items → Material + Token

You can disassemble duplicate items and designs to earn materials and tokens.

Use your tokens to purchase special items!

You can use tokens to purchase rare goods in the Exchange menu.

Please note that tokens are reset every season!

Victory Poses

Share the glory of winning with your Test Subjects!

A separate victory scene will be played when you win an experiment.

Epic Skins or higher will get a special look.

The New Lumia Island - Areas

The areas you know, now in a new form!

Alley, Dock, Pond, and Avenue have been restructured as Warehouse, Stream, Gas Station, Police Station, and Fire Station.

Explore the new, larger spaces that have been added to the previous areas!

Stronger Boss Monsters, a fiercer battle for Special Materials!

Meet the Boss Monsters, they're stronger now! Alpha and his twin Omega, and Wickeline, with her one-time but powerful skill!

Indeed this is sad news for the Special Material thieves! Now, the competition for Special Materials will benefit fair teams. May the best win!

New or Improved Map Features: Launch Pad, Campfire & Kiosk!

In addition to Campfires, new features include a Launch Pad for quick movement across water and hills, and a Kiosk, a reimagined version of the old Transfer Console. Read a more detailed description of Kiosk in the "Credits" section.

Changes to Items

We've stripped it down to the bare essentials. Traps and Food!

Say goodbye to traps and food that are hard to get because of their complex recipes. We're only keeping easy-to-make traps and delicious food!

What about food you can no longer craft? Look for them inside supply boxes!

Install Cameras and Drones more carefully from now on!

Cameras and Drones can no longer be installed as quickly as before. Be more careful when installing them!

Credits

What are Credits?

Credits were an in-game currency introduced in Season 6 that could only be earned through limited activities.

In Squad 1.0, we've made changes that allow you to earn credits through a much wider variety of activities than before.

The biggest change?

Reward System
- In the future, slaying enemies with Legendary equipment will give you a "Reward" item that gives you credits based on the number of Legendary pieces of equipment on them.
- Reward items can also be passed between team members to ensure that they are used by the right people.

Automatic Crediting System
- You can automatically earn credits in small increments over time.
- If you're a little low on credits and head to a Kiosk, you'll be able to buy special materials with the credits you've naturally accumulated without wasting time!

Have enough credits? Come to the Kiosk!

The traditional Transfer Console has been revamped into a "Kiosk" where you can purchase a wider variety of goods like you would in a store!

Credit Revival System
- Even if there's only one person left on your team, you can collect credits to revive your teammates who were eliminated first!

Tactical Skill Module
- Tactical Skill Modules will be available on the VPad to upgraded tactical skills to their peak level. The effects added to the maximum level will be useful in team combat.
- VPad also offers a Remote Drone call feature, so don't forget to use it!

Wild Animals Improvements

Wild Animal hunting just got more ferocious, but more convenient!

Chickens and Wild Dogs running faster, Boars rushing in to push your test subjects farther away, and Wolves attacking together as a herd from the start. Hunting Wild Animals may be harder than ever before!

But the more you move, the better it'll be for you to hunt. So keep moving and hunting Wild Animals to earn credits!

Pay a little more attention and reap big rewards!

Stronger Wild Animal Herds and Bats that grant you vision from the site where they were hunted, now offer better rewards for smart hunters on Lumia Island!

Air Supplies Improvements

A food supply box that looks as good as it tastes

Until now, food has been supplied from Uncommon and Rare Supply Boxes. From now on, these boxes will be newly redesigned to match the delicious food inside!

The value of the food in the boxes has also gone UP! Hungry survivors, it's time to look for food supplies!

Epic Box: Reborn from the ashes

An Epic box? You probably thought you didn't need it anymore because you've already got all your Epic equipment.

The newly born Epic Box only has powerful special materials depending on its drop time. Materials that go from Tree of Life to Mythril! This box has also been redesigned and now shines to reflect the value of its content!
