ETERNAL RETURN ETERNAL RETURN

Starting from Season 7, the experiment phases on Lumia Island will be clearly divided.

The experiment will be divided into three stages based on the possibility of revival.
Transitions will be enhanced according to phase changes,
allowing participants to fully immerse themselves in the experience.

To achieve this, we will first improve the in-game HUD to help players engage more deeply in the experiment

Just like in chess, the first phase of the experiment is the Opening.

This phase corresponds to the period from Day 1 to Night 2.
During this time, even if your entire team is eliminated,
the experiment won’t end, and you’ll be able to rejoin.

In order to make this possible, we will adjust the revival wait time.

A penalty based on individual death counts will be added to the revival wait time, and when all team members are eliminated, the total wait time will be synchronized equally for everyone, with the additional penalty applied.

The second phase of the experiment is Middlegame.

It begins on Day 3, where you'll need to spend credits to revive your teammates.
You wil also experience some of the visual effects we will be be adding to the game to enhance the transition between Phases.

The main boss monster of the island, Wickeline, will spawn on Night 4 and the restricted area in the Research Center will remain accessible until she arrives.

By Day 5, Kiosk revivals will no longer be available, and you will only be able to revive teammates via Lumi.

The last phase is the Endgame.

This phase will begin on Day 6.
During this phase, revival is not possible, except for the winners of the Temporary Safe Zones.

The Temporary Safe Zones and Final Safe Zone will each have unique background music, enhancing your immersion in the battle.

Win the Final Safe Zone, achieve Checkmate and end the experiment.

A new upgraded Lumi is coming!

And it's getting a new feature that allows you to exchange unnecessary items.

You can drag the items you want to exchange into the exchange menu, or simply click on the items you wish to exchange from the list.

Through Lumi, you can:
- Extract materials from already crafted items,
- Upgrade consumables using Credits,
- Exchange unused special materials for other special materials,
- Refund gadgets you can no longer use in exchange for Credits.
However, note that Lumi does not always offer fair trades, so make sure to think carefully before making your decision.

  • < Material Collection >

  • < Consumables Upgrade >

  • < Special Materials Exchange >

  • < Credit Refund >

A new gadget will be added to Season 7, Hunter's Pot.

This special gadget helps when food is scarce on the island.

You can install it on your location and interact with it to collect special food.

You can also set it near a campfire to get warmer and prepare even better food!

Additionally, mushrooms will begin to grow throughout Lumia Island.

These mushrooms, along with the Hunter's Pot, will greatly help in solving the food shortage on the island.

We're adding options for item exchange on Season 7.

These include Alex's Weapon Supply Box
and Portable Crafters,
which can be obtained through Mythic Air Supplies.

Selected Exchange Items provide you with different options, allowing you to choose and acquire the equipment you need.

In Season 7, enhanced basic attack skills with additional effects will no longer be canceled once initiated.

Cobalt Protocol changes are coming mid-season!
With this revamp, we’re scaling back some of Cobalt Protocol’s more complex mechanics and focusing on the fun of 4v4 combat.
Our goal is to make the mode easier to enjoy so more Survivors can jump in and have fun!

Here’s the roadmap outlining the upcoming changes to the mode.

The character selection process will be completely revamped.

Originally, the character pool was random and limited.
After the revamp, you’ll be able to choose any character you want.

On top of that, you'll also be able to select your equipment.

Before the revamp, you were often stuck in Phase 1 with whatever gear you got at the start—even if it didn’t suit your character. After the revamp, you’ll get a list of recommended items for your character, but you’re free to choose any epic equipment you prefer.

Infusions that match your character and weapon type will be displayed first.

Additionally, Infusion selection and rerolls will now be free, making it easier get the exact Infusion you want.

Our goal with these changes is to help players focus more on the combat aspect instead of having to worry
about the gap between your equipment and infusions during the early stage of the game.

Switching to a direct selection system gives you more flexibility when choosing equipment and infusions based on your character's needs. This helps eliminate the frustration of random picks and allows for more strategic discussions with your team.

The Cobalt Protocol Revamp is also bringing major changes to the layout of the Lab building.

In Phase 1, all areas will be unified into one and both teams will start on opposite sides with the central sector as reference.

With both teams now starting from the unified base, all four allies can regroup quickly and head straight for the shared objective—the Central Power Beacon. This sets the stage for intense 4v4 battles right from Phase 1.

With the bases now unified and clearly divided between ally and enemy sides, we're removing the Bio Sector from Cobalt Protocol. This change streamlines player movement, directing everyone toward the Power Beacon objective.

Each team’s base is guarded by Defense Turrets. You can use a Deploying Loop installed in your base to move quickly to the enemy side and join battles or push enemies near your base back.

Now, with the Bio Sector removed, recapturing a Power Beacon
will now grant Credits, helping to maintain the game’s pace and
prevent unnecessary delays.

After the unification of the map, you will now revive in the Safe Zone instead of the Control Room.

Additionally, you are free to use the Synthetizer within your base right after revival.
However, you won’t be able to use it once you leave the area and even if you go back to it.

We're switching things up during the mid-season update by adding a phase where special Power Beacons will be deactivated.

This will reduce the number of objectives on the map, making the fights for them even more intense.

If no winner has been decided by Phase 3, a Sudden Death phase begins in Phase 4.

At the start of Sudden Death, a special transition animation will play, and each team's Life Points will be reset to 1, making the stakes and win conditions crystal clear.

With the many changes coming in the Cobalt Protocol Revamp, existing Tactical Skills and Infusions are also
getting updates—along with brand-new additions! These will open up even more ways to play the revamped mode.
