"Apprentice Witch Tia"!
Starting with the upcoming Season 8, the way you acquire and use various Gadgets on Lumia Island will change.
You’ll no longer have to rely on luck to get and use Gadgets.
Instead, you’ll be able to access what you need, when you need it, through the Gadget Vault.
Starting in Season 8, wild animals will no longer drop Gadgets
and they can only be used through a new feature called the Gadget Vault.
The Gadget Vault can be accessed anytime, anywhere.
However, you need a certain amount of Gadget Vault Energy to use a Gadget.
Once a Gadget is used, the Vault enters cooldown for the same duration as the Gadget's cooldown.
Each player gradually gains Gadget Vault Energy as phases (day/night) pass.
You can also earn extra Energy by defeating a Mutant Bear herd, which drops Gadget Energy Packs.
This new gadget moves on its own, unlike previous gadgets, and it’s packed with features that help you survive on Lumia Island.
There are 3 types: Recon, Safety, and Explosion.
You can set a target point to determine the gadget's movement path and depending on its type, the ORB can help you in direct combat,
take over areas or make a safe exit when needed.
The orb patrols between your current location and the target point, granting vision ahead.
With the addition of the ORB as a Gadget, the Loop Card Key and Flare Guns, which were previously categorized as Gadgets, will be changed to single-use consumable items.
The island is under construction.
We’re adding new paths and Launch Pads to areas with limited escape routes.
These changes will shake up movement routes and expand access points, creating more room for strategic gameplay.
A new variable is coming to Lumia Island in Season 8.
The Rift is a supernatural phenomenon caused by a VF-related accident during the development of the “Chronosphere,” a project under Aglaia's intensified combat experiments.
If you come across a Rift during your matches, why not take a bold leap and see what happens?
The first type of Rift we’re introducing is the Dimensional Rift.
When a team interacts with a Dimensional Rift, the members of that team are transported to the Combat Lab.
Two Dimensional Rifts spawn in different areas, but only one team can use each Rift.
Once inside, the team that entered will face off in a 3v3 battle against the team that entered the opposite Rift.
The winning team will earn a special reward.
No other teams can interfere the two teams fighting in the Dimensional Rift.
Before Day 3, players who die during the battle can respawn.
Players who die after Day 3 inside the Rift will not revive.
Confident in your skills? Enter the Dimensional Rift and earn a bonus reward.
Next is the Warp.
The Warp is an objective that lets you quickly move to a different area when the VLS is unavailable.
Its location is announced 1 minute before the day changes.
If your team's in danger, try using the Warp to make a quick getaway.
Starting in Season 8, the final safe zone will change due to the introduction of the Chronosphere.
When the final safe zone phase begins, the Chronosphere will spawn at a specific location within the final safe zone.
Any Test Subject standing within its radius becomes immune to explosion timer reduction.
As time passes during the final safe zone phase, the area of explosion timer immunity around the Chronosphere will gradually shrink.
After this, the Chronosphere will also begin to move, further changing the dynamics of the final showdown.
Season 8 brings a variety of gameplay improvements.
From changes to cooldown mechanics and Augment effects, to updates for Alpha, Omega, and Wickeline — be sure to check out all the details before heading into your next match!
We're changing the way skill cooldown reduction is calculated.
Previously, players had to choose items carefully to avoid exceeding the maximum cooldown reduction.
With the new cooldown reduction system, there will no longer be a cap on cooldown reduction. Even if all your equipment has cooldown reduction, none of it will go to waste.
Starting in Season 8, you’ll be able to pick from a wider variety of high-tier items without worrying about cooldown limits.
We're also making adjustments to some of our Augments and adding 5 more to the list!
When you deal damage to an enemy, the effects of Blast Cactus are applied to the target.
If an ally deals damage with a basic attack or separate skill to the target, they take additional damage.
Wild animals take increased damage and only half of the cooldown is applied.
We're also making some changes to Lumia Island's Boss Monsters: Alpha, Omega and Wickeline.
Players who take down Alpha or Omega will now receive a permanent buff for the rest of the match and Wickeline's improved skills will remind survivors how dangerous she truly is.
Basic attacks that hit twice will now apply separately.
Skills that enhance basic attacks will deal skill damage for each hit individually.
Except for certain characters designed around it, firearm-type weapons no longer use magazines and they no longer have a reloading feature.
Jackie’s skills are being adjusted to preserve her traditional assassin-style gameplay while allowing her to stay in fights a little longer.
Her passive, Bloodfest, now applies Bleeding under different conditions and some of the effects from Adrenaline Burst have been integrated into it.
The first strike of her Q, Hack & Slash, now also dashes her forward.
Her W has been replaced with Crippler, a skill that enhances her basic attacks.
E, Leaping Strike, now reduces its cooldown when she hits a fully bleeding target with a basic attack.
For her R, Chainsaw Murderer, if Jackie kill assists, she can reuse Chainsaw Murderer R2.
Full details on Jackie’s changes will be available in the patch notes!
A certain amount of time after using a weapon skill, a shockwave is triggered, dealing additional skill damage to enemies hit based on their level and slowing them for a moment.
